The wait is over! After two months and seven days, Vogue has announced its new head editor.

Anna Wintour announced on June 26, 2025, that she would transition from her role as editor-in-chief of American Vogue to focus on her positions as global editorial director of Vogue and global chief content officer with Condé Nast.
Vogue announced on September 2nd that “Chloe Malle is Head of Editorial Content for American Vogue, effective immediately”. Malle, who previously served as editor of Vogue.com and co-host of The Run-Through with Vogue podcast, brings a wealth of fashion and industry knowledge, as well as expertise in social media.

“Fashion and media are both evolving at breakneck speed, and I am so thrilled—and awed—to be part of that,” Chloe Malle shared in a Vogue article. Highlighting continuity, she added that Anna Wintour would remain a mentor, ensuring her expertise and guidance are still accessible.
